Louise Hederström

Louise Hederström is a furniture designer based in Malmö, known for her thoughtful and character-driven approach to design. Since graduating from Beckmans School of Design in Stockholm, she has built an extensive practice working with some of Scandinavia’s leading design companies. She is the designer behind Aura Lamp 01.

Louise’s work spans furniture and interior objects, often defined by a strong sense of personality and a balance between form, function and longevity. Louise believes that great design reflects its time while remaining relevant across generations, both in expression and use. With a background shaped by hands-on making from an early age, her process is rooted in creativity and independence. The act of creating something from nothing remains central to her work, guided by curiosity rather than a fixed direction. Alongside her independent practice, she collaborates with upholsterer Carina Grefmar under the brand Grefmar + Hederström, with work exhibited internationally.
