Silhouette Duo
The lamp was inspired by the height difference between Maria Gustavsson and her husband Magnus. One short, one tall. The result is a composition that feels both playful and precise. A quiet tension where asymmetry becomes harmony. Handcrafted in Sweden, Silhouette Duo reflects a belief in objects made to last. Defined by clean geometry and a sculptural presence, it brings character to a space while remaining effortless in its expression.
Swedish Ninja x Maria Gustavsson
After a decade as a freelance designer within the furniture industry, she felt a strong need to explore a more expressive direction. One that embraces color, bold forms and unexpected materials, while remaining grounded in function and longevity. At the core of her work lies a simple question. Does the product have a heart? For Maria, great design is about creating objects that people connect with, live with and keep over time. Pieces that feel personal, brave and enduring. Her approach combines intuition with intention. She designs with versatility in mind, allowing each piece to live across different spaces and contexts, often with a multi functional quality. Her inspiration comes from everyday life, from people and places, but also from stillness. The farm where she grew up remains a constant source of grounding and clarity.
